Brought to you as a result of the passage of Proposition L in 2002, the Library Station opened to the public on June 28. The new "destination library" at 2535 North Kansas Expressway combines traditional services with additional conveniences and amenities in an inviting and exciting environment. Thematic elements centered around Springfield's celebrated history of "planes, trains and automobiles" define the new 36,000 square-foot facility.
