Learn at your own pace using a variety of tutorial software. Instruction available on basic computer skills, organizing files and folders, Windows XP, Internet Explorer, Photoshop, QuickBooks, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft products including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and others.

Learn to identify common Windows elements, use the taskbar, start up menus and program menus, and explore control panel settings, including various display options.

9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Make sure you have the mouse, keyboard and word processing skills you need to effectively function in today's technology-based society. Brush up on your computing skills and get familiar with Windows desktop functions. Learn the basics of word processing using Microsoft Word, including entering and editing text, formatting, opening and saving documents, printing and where to go for help. Experience using a mouse and keyboard is recommended.

Learn how to navigate the Internet using the browser's menus and toolbars. Access Web sites by typing in a Web address or by using search engines, directories and other starting points. Learn how to register for and use free Web-based e-mail services and find out about other methods of online communication. Experience using a mouse and keyboard is recommended.

Learn how to create a resume that will get the results you want. This one-hour session will cover how to use resume software and/or templates and provide resume tips, tricks and some winning resume examples.
