Where can I find information on local foundations?
There are several ways to look up foundations and nonprofit organizations located in the Springfield, MO area.
- The Foundation Center has the Foundation Finder search engine on their website at http://lnp.foundationcenter.org/finder.html.
- Local foundations can also be found in the Directory of Missouri Grantmakers located on the shelves in the Funding Information Center.
- Grantmakers are indexed in the Foundation Directory Online Professional database, available on the computers in the Funding Information Center.
- You might also take a look at The Directory, a listing of around 900 nonprofit clubs, agencies and organizations in the Springfield metropolitan area. Along with being fully searchable online, The Directory is also available in print and can be checked out or purchased from the Library.
