Employment Search/Technology Skills - Mobile Training Lab Coordinator 
A fulltime employment search/technology skills - mobile training lab coordinator position is available at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library and will be posted until the application deadline of July 6. The job is a 12-month, grant-funded position, scheduled for approximately 30-38 hours per week and pays $12.89 per hour.
Essential Functions
- Work with the Project Director to develop training curriculum for employment search and technology training programs
- Coordinate scheduling and participant registration of public training sessions
- Perform set-up and instruct public basic computer/Internet skills and software training sessions
- Perform set-up and assist with productivity software self-paced tutorial sessions
- Perform set-up and assist with online employment searching and other computer related employment readiness skills training
- Assist project participants from teens to adults at all project locations.
- Participate in the collection, data entry, analysis, and communication of data for project sessions, including statistics and special reports
- Maintain adequate inventory of equipment, office and lab supplies.
- Transport equipment from site to site and set up lab for all public and staff sessions
- Make community contacts and distribute promotional materials
- Work with branch staff and the general public: it is essential that individuals who work in this position have the ability to work and interact in a cooperative, pleasant, and constructive manner with others.
- Timeliness and Dependability: Since employees in this position work with other staff and provide assistance to the general public, the Project Coordinator must be punctual and reliable in arriving to work on time and have excellent attendance.

Education/Experience
- A BS/BA Degree required.
- One year public service experience preferred.
- Library experience is preferred.
- Experience with teaching or training in a technology environment helpful.
Skills/Job Knowledge
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Searching. Microsoft Access skills preferred.
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Ability to effectively listen to and respond to patron and staff inquiries.
- Ability to instruct individuals and groups and make presentations to groups.
- Ability to interact pleasantly, constructively, and cooperatively with library patrons and staff.
- Ability to perform essential job functions during times of high public usage.
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision, both initiating and completing tasks to keep the project operating smoothly.

Supervision
- Supervised by District Training Coordinator
Physical Demands
- Performs bending, squatting, kneeling and reaching from floor level to 6 feet in height.
- Displays good coordination and mobility.
- Routine lifting of library materials and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Uninterrupted standing and walking for lengthy periods.
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Must pass a security background check
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance on vehicle.
